When we shipped our first wholesale order in 2016, my brother and I packed the boxes ourselves. I remember checking each iPhone three times before sealing the carton — partly because we couldn’t yet afford the QA process we have now, and mostly because I was terrified of disappointing the buyer. He was in Madrid. He paid in advance. He was trusting us, sight unseen, with his entire month’s stock.
That memory still shapes how we work.
Hong Kong has always been a city of bridges. Between China and the rest of the world. Between how things have always been done here and how Western buyers expect business to feel. When I started HK Refurbished Stock, what frustrated me about our industry was the gap between what Chinese suppliers could make and what Western buyers expected to receive: not just devices, but answered emails, honest IMEI checks, real warranties, and someone to call when something went wrong.
So we built the company we'd want to buy from.
Some of what we promised in 2016 is unchanged. Every device is original. Every device is graded A+++. Every batch is checked, IMEI-verified, and packed by a person who knows their name will be on it. What’s changed is the scale — and the team. We’ve grown from a small back-office in Kowloon to warehouses in Hong Kong, Europe, and Miami, and our partners now run businesses on four continents thanks to the volume we ship.
The pandemic was the hardest stretch. While factories shut and freight prices tripled, we made a simple choice: keep shipping, even when it cost us. Many of the partners we work with today are partners because of that choice. They remembered who picked up the phone in 2020.
Ten years in, I’m not sure I have the right words to thank the people who buy from us. So I’ll just say what’s true: every shipment that leaves our warehouse is a small bet on someone else’s business. Thank you for letting us keep making that bet.
The next decade is already starting to look different — new categories, more sustainable processes, faster routes to your doorstep. We’ll get into all of it in time. For now, on behalf of my family and our team, thank you for ten years.

A decade of refurbishing doesn’t mean standing still. In October 2025 we were at GITEX Global in Dubai — one of the world’s largest technology events.
GITEX Global is where the technology industry meets. Being there, ten years in, is its own kind of proof: we're not a company resting on its history — we're still building, still presenting, still showing up where the business actually gets done.
